Using the Budget Data Load

Steps

 

  1. Select whether to:

Search for an existing Run Control ID

  1. If the first word of the desired Run Control ID is known:
    1. Enter a few of the first letters of the Run Control ID in the Search By: "begins with" field.
    2. Click Search.
      • A list of matches will display.
    3. Select the desired Run Control ID.
  2. To see all existing Run Control IDs:
    1. Leave the Search By: text field blank.
    2. Click Search.
    3. Select the desired Run Control ID.
  3. Proceed to steps to Enter Process Request Parameters below.

 

Create a new Run Control ID

  1. To create a new Run Control ID, click the Add a New Value tab.

 

  1. Enter a new Run Control ID.

  2. Click Add.

 

  1. Enter a description for the Run Control ID in the Description field.

  2. Proceed with additional steps to Enter Process Request Parameters (that follow).

 

Enter Process Request Parameters

 

  1. For Planning Model ID , enter or select "1920_CAP_AGY."
    (This is the CAP Planning Model for the FY 2019-2020 biennium.)

  2. For Scenario, enter or select "1920AGYCAP."
    (This is the CAP Scenario for the FY 2019-2020 biennium.)

  3. For Activity, enter or select "AGYCAP."

  4. Enter or select the Planning Center.

  5. For Budget Version, select from the dropdown menu "Version One."

  6. The version must already exist in BPM to be able to select it here. There are options for up to 35 working versions but BPM recommends that "Version 1" be selected. This determines where the .csv file's content will be loaded.

  1. Beside Source File, click the Add button to go through the process to select the .csv file to be uploaded.

  1. Click Run.

 

  1. Click OK.

 

  1. Click the Process Monitor link.

 

  1. To monitor progress of the process, occasionally click Refresh.

  1. After the process completes, click the Details link next to the Budget Data Load line item to review.

 

  1. Click the Message Log link.

 

  1. Carefully review entries in the Message Log.

Budget Data Load process is both Incremental and Destructive
