ChartFields Overview

ChartFields are created in the General Ledger to allow detailed tracking of spending by each agency and its departments, grants and other programs.

 

A ChartField can specify 11 types of information:

 

 

Agencies are responsible for completing and submitting their ChartFields request forms within OAKS FIN.

Once a ChartField is created, its configuration can not be changed. Thus, if a mistake is made on one requested and approved, it would need to be inactivated through the maintenance process and a new one would be created.
